Lois A. White

Send Flowers Send Flowers
Lois Ann White was born November 24, 1942 to Edwin and Pauline 'Bissell' Conrad. She was raised in Scribner with her three sisters, Kay, Sandy and Linda. After graduating from high school she attended Bahner's Beauty School in Fremont.

She married Larry White on January 25, 1964 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. Lois and Larry had three children, Anna Marie, John and Mark. She stayed home, raised her children and worked various jobs until going to work at the Hooper Care Center working there for 15 years. Lois took great pleasure in seeing her family grow. She was especially excited to see two of her grandchildren get married and to become a great-grandma.

Lois loved to play cards and board games. She spent many hours teaching her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren how to play; never "letting" them win. Lois would play as many games for as long as they wanted as long as they followed the following rules: 1) no pouting if you were not doing well 2) you finish what you start and 3) no cheating. Little did they know she was teaching them lessons in life.

Lois went to heaven January 17, 2017 and was greeted there by her parents and infant son, Mark. She is now at peace surrounded by them and other family members that have gone before her.

Her survivors are:

Husband Larry of Scribner
Daughter Anna Marie (Dave) Rezac of Bennington
Son John White (Heather Albers) of Pratt, KS.
5 grandchildren Nathan (Jackie) Rezac, Benjamin (Caitie) Rezac, Jordan, Taylor and Cameron White.
2 great grandchildren Luke and Gemma
Sisters Kay (Wayne) Moeller of Bennington
Sandy (Jerry) Bruning of Bennington
Linda Berry of Omaha

    To Larry and family,

Sympathy to you all. Lois and I spent many a summer afternoon as children hunting four-leaf clovers, plus many other adventures that make for fine memories. I was so happy to exchange some hugs with her in June at the class reunion. Peace for the days ahead.

Sorry to hear of Lois's passing. She fought a brave fight with cancer for a long time. I was happy to be able to see her at our class reunion this past summer. She should be in a better place now. My sympathy to you and all of your family, Larry.

    Larry, Kay, Sandy and Linda:

Our condolences go out on the loss of Lois. Jay called me on about the 10th of December with the information that Linda had called to inform him that Lois had been admitted to the Hooper Care Center. We left for Colorado on December 13 to spend a week skiing with Reid and his family and then followed them down to San Antonio and will stay down here until the end of March. We will be unable to attend any of the services, in Lois's memory, but want you to know that we keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you.

My family has lived across the street from the White's for well over 40 years. Truly a great family and many fond memories of Lois. Lois had incredible patience with Anna, Brenda and I when we got a little loud . I spent a lot of time at her house growing up and she never made me feel like I wasn't welcome. Her humor and smile were a constant. Many fond memories! Deepest sympathy and love .
