Clara E. Haney, 99, of Fremont;
passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 in Nye Legacy, Fremont.

Clara was born to Soren and Anna (Jensen) Rix on May 27, 1919 in Fremont. She grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1938.

On March 27, 1940, Clara was married in Fremont to James H. Haney. They farmed east of Fremont and moved into Fremont in 1967, while James continued farming until 1980. During her working years, Clara worked for the Pathfinder Hotel and Fremont Office Equipment.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Arbor Vitae Chapter 92, Order of Eastern Star.

Clara was preceded by her husband James in October of 1993 and by brothers Harry, Ted, Roy, Carl, Elmer, Arnold and Ray; and sister Harriet and an infant sister.

Survivors: daughter Glenda (Donald) Gilbertson, Independence, MO
son Ed (Sharyl) Haney, Fremont
5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
sister Alyce Wilke, Fremont

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be Thursday, June 21st, 3 to 7:45 PM, with an Eastern Star Service (open to the public) at 7:45PM. A graveside service will be 1:30 PM Friday afternoon in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Masonic-Eastern Home for Children in Fremont.
