It was a pleasure to know and talk to Sherry when she lived in the Elkhorn Valley Villa in Scribner ! My sympathy to her family and friends. God bless all of you.

Sherry was #3 of nine children in the Otto and Lumilla (Goelz) Rise family. Sherry suffered with COPD and back pain for many years. Last Sunday, June 10, she was able to "celebrate family" at the Rise-Goelz reunion. She was overjoyed with seeing everyone, but she told Clara she wouldn't be able to go out again. The hospice care she received this past month was outstanding! She was kept comfortable and out of the hospital. Sherry died peacefully and with dignity. We were so blessed to call her our sister. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt, and friend to many. Most important, though, was her walk as a Christian woman, a walk of faith, hope, and love. She was our prayer warrior. She suffered a long time, and today she rests in the loving arms of Jesus! We are so thankful that she "graced" our lives for so many years.

    Sherry will be missed!
