Died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens

Shirley was born November 10, 1938 in West Point. She was raised in Crowell, south of West Point, until moving with her parents Henry and Elsie 'Druhe' Strohm to various communities due to Henry's work. She graduated from high school in Gunnison, Colorado in 1955. She then lived in Broken Bow, Nebraska until she married Robert Elrod on December 30, 1956. Together they and their family lived all over the world while Robert served in the United States Air Force for 30 years, retiring to Fremont where Shirley's parents were, and Fremont has been their home since.

Betty Elrod of Sapulpa, Oklahoma

Shirley was preceded in death by twin sisters Jean and Jane.

The funeral will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont, burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the donor's choice. Visitation will be Friday, 3 pm to 8 pm with the family present 6 pm to 8 pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
