Dale W. Ellison

Dale W. Ellison, 91, of Fremont died Monday, June 5th, in Dunklau Gardens, Fremont.
Dale was born to Howard and Vera (White) Ellison in St. Edward, NE on May 29, 1926. He came to Fremont with his family in 1935 and graduated from Fremont High School in 1944.
From June of 1944 to June of 1946, he served in the Navy CB's as an EM 3/C. During this time he served in the Asiatic Pacific area.
On December 13, 1946, Dale and Ermagene Kortum were married in Washington, Kansas and they made their home in Fremont. During his working his working years, he operated Frank's Radio Lab which later became Kolbo Radio and TV. Then as an electrician, he was employed by the Omaha firms, Armature Electric, Baxter Electric, and then Commonwealth Electric, retiring in 1989.
Dale was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont. He was a member of Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15, A.F. & A.M. where he was the Worshipful Master in 1976. He was also a member of the Fremont York Rite and the Tangier Shrine Center of Omaha. He was a life member of Fremont's VFW Post 854, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 200 of Fremont. And he was a member of IBEW Local No. 22 of Omaha.
Survivors: wife Ermagene son Todd (Nancy) Ellison, Fremont daughter Heidi (Jeff) Fiscus, Newnan, Georgia 4 grandchildren Mikala and T.J. Ellison, and Jacob and Emily Fiscus Dale was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and his brother.
The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday (June 10th) at Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont, with Rev. Clay Skurdahl. The committal, with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard of American Legion Post 20 and VFW Post 854, will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be 3 to 7 PM Friday with a Masonic Service at 7 PM. The public is welcome to attend. Memorials are suggested to the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children, Fremont.
