Kathleen "Kathy" I. Shurigar

December 17, 1943 - March 12, 2024

Kathleen Irene Shurigar, beloved wife of the late Clint Shurigar, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 12, 2024. She is survived by her devoted children: Robin Muller (Melanie), Penny Bachman (Joseph), and Shawn Shurigar (Brenda).

Kathleen was a cherished grandmother to Benjamin, Elizabeth, William, Anne, Shalee, Bryan, and Bailey. Kathleen is survived by her brother Jack Robart (Lyn), brother-in-laws John Shurigar (Sharon) and Steve Shurigar (Julie), sister-in laws Glenda Shurigar and Vicky Robart.

Kathleen had a passion for singing, especially at weddings, where her beautiful voice filled the hearts of those around her with joy. She had an unwavering love for animals, often finding more solace in their company than humans.
May she join her family that proceeded her in death, including husbands Clint Shurigar and Danny Muller, parents Otis and Irene Robart, brother Jim Robart and sister Marge Petri.

Kathleen enjoyed the thrill of playing Keno and eagerly anticipated the arrival of Publisher Clearing House notifications. She found joy in fixing up homes and embarking on new adventures with each move, turning each house into a warm and welcoming home.

A dedicated homemaker, Kathleen infused her household with love, laughter, and warmth. Her great sense of humor brought light to even the darkest of days, and her kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Kathleen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The funeral service will begin at 10am, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the St. Peters Lutheran Church, Scribner NE. The burial will be held, immediately after a luncheon, in the Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 6 - 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lincoln Humane Society. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
