Jeffrey T. King, age 81, of Fremont
Died Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Pathfinder in Fremont.

Jeffrey was born June 27, 1942 in New Haven, Indiana to Robert and Chloe King. Jeffrey was a published teacher, conductor and choir director, his choral and symphonic band works were recognized by many prestigious colleges and universities with performances. In 1970 he was one of 480 national composers honored with 1st place in a choral competition sponsored by Brown University. One of his compositions was also performed by the United States Naval Band.

A prime achievement was teaching elementary students sophisticated works as ''Star Wars'' and ''Superman'' as well as a work by the composer Stravinsky. Jeffrey also arranged music for each of his students.

Jeffrey was awarded numerous scholarships and fellowships throughout his career which culminated in his doctorate from Ball State University.

Jeffrey is survived by his brother Terrance, wife Sarah, daughter Laura, as well as peace and beauty.

The memorial service will be 10:30am, Monday, July 1, 2024 at Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church, northwest of Fremont. Memorials are suggested to Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church.
