Warren was born September 15, 1930 in Fremont to Hans and Selma (Janouski) Harms. He grew up on the farm northwest of Fremont, and graduated from Fremont High School in 1948.

In 1950 he began his service in the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. The ships he served on were the Valley Forge and the USS Antietam. On his return home to Fremont he went to work for Hormel's and worked there for 35 years.

Warren was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fremont. He was a baseball fan, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent time golfing and bowling. And he was also a fan of polka music.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents Hans and Selma, a sister Joan, and 2 brothers-in-law Bob and Lyle.

There will be a graveside service at 2 PM Wednesday (March 23, 2011) in Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. There will be visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, Wednesday morning from 9 AM to 12 noon, with the family receiving friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church.
