Marcella "Sally" M. Kluge

Sally was born May 24th, 1935 in Scribner to Reinhold and Eleonora 'Toelle'Wegner. She was baptized on June 16th 1935 and was confirmed on August 7th, 1949 all at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Scribner. Sally attended country school at District 58 through the 8th grade. She graduated from Scribner High School in 1953. After high school she worked for Consumers Public Power in Scribner. She went to work for the Scribner Good Samaritan Center and became head cook until taking a job as head cook for the Scribner Public Schools in 1990. She retired in 2002.
Sally married Clarence Kluge on September 25th, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Her life was being a farmer's wife, homemaker, mother and a friend to many. Her door was always open and always willing to help in time of need. She loved to coffee with her special friend LaVonne Dahl and many others too numerous to mention. Cooking and baking were a specialty of hers. She also loved to sew and do ceramics. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
Sally was a member of St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church southwest of Scribner and was also a member of the Choir. She belonged to several card clubs and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Lyle Westphalen and a niece Lila Harms. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
The funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 13 at St. John Ridgeley Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre will officiate. The burial will follow at the Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. John Ridgeley Lutheran Church and the Scribner Good Samaritan Center.
