Evon M. Olson

Evon was born December 17, 1942 in Oakland, Nebraska to Martin and Hazel (Bergquist) Olson. He grew up in Uehling and graduated from Uehling High School.
In his early working years he worked in a butcher shop in Hooper and Campbell Soup Co. in Fremont. Then he moved to Wichita, Kansas where he worked for the Boeing Co. On his return to Fremont, he worked at Hormel's for several years, until starting a home improvement company. Later, he joined with Les Parde in the E & L Home Repair business.
On May 17, 1980, Evon was married to Sandra Reutzel, and Fremont has been their home.
Evon was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and the Fremont Eagles Aerie 200.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren Dustin and Shelby Dailey, 2 sisters Liz Eastberg and Lois Jensen.
Survivors: wife - Sandra 3 daughters - Cindy Dailey of Omaha Shawn and husband Bruce Meister of Lincoln Shelly and husband Ronnie Sandeen of Fremont 1 son - Dan and wife Sonja Olson of Germany 4 grandchildren - Kim and Yvonne Olson of Colorado Sam and Sydney Meister of Lincoln 1 sister - Evaline and husband Gary Way of Fremont
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday (Oct. 22nd) at St. Timothy Lutheran Church (16th & Nye Ave) with the Rev. John Plowman officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Thursday (Oct. 21st) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. Visitation will continue at the church Friday morning for an hour before the service.
