Donald W. Moeller

Don was born January 4, 1929 in rural Nickerson to Walter and Orlie 'Bendle' Moeller. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's in Winslow and graduated from Hooper High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 until 1952. Don married Willa Niemann on December 21, 1957 in Winslow. He was a lifetime resident of the Hooper area. Don was employed as a trucker for several years then farmed and raised cattle until his retirement.
Don enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper and the American Legion Post # 18 of Hooper. Don had been a member of the Winslow Fire Department, the Winslow Rural Fire Board, the Hooper Township Board, and the Dodge County Feeders.

Mike Moeller of Hooper and Velyda Moeller of Fremont
Grandchildren - Robb & Brett Moeller
Tate & Grady Moeller and Naiyah Meyeres
Sister - Janell St. Amand of California
Don was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Phyllis, and a brother Steve.
The funeral will be Monday 10:30am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper. The Rev. Carl Lehman will officiate. Lunch will be served at the Hooper Fire Hall following the service. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. A memorial fund will be determined at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 3pm to 5pm at the Hooper Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue 1 hour before the service at the church.
