Henry was born October 15, 1931 in West Point to Peter and Elizabeth 'Hunke' Peitzmeier. He attended St. Aloys school, Conception Seminary in Conception Missouri for 2 ½ years & graduated from Guardian Angels High Schools in West Point in 1949. Henry worked for Bernard Havekost on his farm from 1952 to 1956 then onto Parkert Well Drilling and Green Valley Implement. From 1964 to 1972 Henry worked for the City of Hooper and eventually for Kassmeier Implement retiring in 1993. Henry was a self-employed carpenter and plumber and part time employee for the Spear & Warne-Johnson Funeral Homes in Hooper and Scribner.

Henry was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus in West Point, served as a member of the Hooper Volunteer Fire Department and is a current honorary member. He also received the Scott Wilber Award and was inducted into the Nebraska Navy.

Henry married Raineldis 'Nell' Vogel on May 15, 1952 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Olean.

Mildred and husband Dan Rief of Columbus
Lorie and husband Bill Endsley of Kansas City, KS.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph Peitzmeier

The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday March 1, 2010 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper. The Rev. Vitalis Anyanike will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Rose and the Hooper Volunteer Fire & Rescue. A Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at the Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue until 6pm with the family present until 4pm.
