She was born in Bancroft, Nebraska on January 24, 1916 to Louis and Beulah (Graff) Wullenwaber. She lived in Bancroft until her marriage to Harry Teebken on August 31, 1934.

They made their home in Wisner where Harry was a blacksmith/welder. In 1950, they moved to Bolivar, Missouri where they lived for a brief time. In 1951, the Teebkens moved to Fremont, Harry purchased and operated a blacksmith shop in Arlington until his death in 1977. Melba was a full time homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

Melba was preceded in death, in addition to her husband Harry in 1977, by her daughter and her son-in-law Karen and Bob Davis, a sister Mina Johnson who had lived in Oakland, 5 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law.

A memorial service will be February 27th (Saturday) at 11 AM at the Fremont Alliance Church (16th & Lincoln Streets) with the Rev. Tom Nevius officiating. The committal will be later in the Wisner Cemetery. There is no public visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Fremont Alliance Church. Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
