Fauneil "Butch" G. Buettow
January 29, 1924 - January 8, 2013
She was born January 29, 1924 in Norfolk to Arthur and Anna (Schraer) Maier. She grew up there and graduated from Norfolk High School. She moved to California after high school, later returning to Norfolk. After the WW II years, she went to Florida where an uncle lived.
She was married in the late 1940's to Duane Buettow, who was employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. They lived in Norfolk and came to Fremont in the early 1950's. During her working years, she was employed by the telephone company, a hardware distributor, and she retired as an elementary school librarian. She was a home maker, enjoyed gardening and playing cards. She had traveled extensively, both in the states and outside the country.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and took part in the Solo's group. She had been active with the railroad auxiliary, and the VFW and American Legion auxiliary's.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, and by her daughter Wendy in 2008, and 2 infant children and a brother.
