Bonita I. Heywood

August 22, 1916 - April 17, 2013

Bonita was born August 22, 1916 in Hooper, Nebraska to Albert and Emma Brandt. Bonita graduated from Hooper High School. She married Clarence J. Heywood on June 4, 1935 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper.

Bonita operated a beauty shop out of her home for many years and then along with her husband, owned the 'Heywood Tavern' until Clarence was appointed Hooper Post Master in 1960. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, American Legion Auxillary and the Elkhorn Valley Golf Club.

Rosanne (William) Pierce of Arlington Heights, IL.
5 grandchildren
7 great grandchildren
Special Friend Deloris Warner Ruwe of Thousand Oaks, CA.

Bonita was preceded in death by her husband in May of 2004, parents, 2 sisters and brother.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday 10am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper. The Rev. Damien Wee will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6pm to 8pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel.
