William "Bill" H. Passick

January 31, 1935 - July 3, 2013

Bill was born to James and Vlasta (Jecminek) Passick on January 31, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Niobrara and Emerson where he graduated from high School in 1953. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1958.

On June 12, 1960, Bill was married to Lavilda Vance. He was a police officer in Fremont for several years, before going to work for the United States Post Office until he retired.

Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a 'Lifetime' member of the Disabled American Veteran's Chapter 18. He also belonged to the Fremont Coin Club and the Nebraska Numismatic Club.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Lavilda in August of last year (2012), and by a son Wayne and a brother.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (July 8, 2013) in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, with the Rev. Michael McGregor. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard of American Legion Post 20 and VFW Post 854. Visitation will be at the mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Numismatic Club or the Disabled American Veterans Joseph Bales Chapter #18 of Fremont.
