Edward Glen Beaumont was born on September 7, 1932 in Snyder, Nebraska to Glen and Milada (Janecek) Beaumont. He was a 1950 graduate of Snyder High School. He served in the United States Army (999th Armored Field Artillery Battalion) from 1953 to 1955, and in the Army Reserves until 1961.

He started working at Hormel Food Corporation in Fremont in 1955, retiring in 1994. He then worked at Tek Industries from 1995 to 2004.

Edward was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder, and a member of the Snyder VFW Post 8439. His favorite pastime was his love of baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be in Fremont at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 7 PM, with a Vigil at 7 PM. The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. The funeral mass will be 10 AM Monday at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder with the Rev. Donald Cleary. The committal will follow in the Bohemian National Cemetery at Dodge with Military Honors by Snyder's VFW Post 8439.

Memorials are suggested to St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Snyder Fire Department.
