Lyle R. Allen
January 13, 1930 - January 20, 2014
Lyle was born January 13, 1930 on a farm near Fremont to Leverett and Mary 'Parsons' Allen. He went to country school then finished his high school education at Fremont High School. After high school he farmed at his family farm. Lyle married Ramona Mahlendorf on December 4, 1955 and they farmed until moving into Fremont in 1982. After moving to Fremont Lyle worked at the Hooper Care Center. He then worked for Platte Chemical until 2005 when he retired.
Lyle loved working on antique clocks and having coffee with friends at McDonalds.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ramona in December of 2007.
The funeral will be 2pm Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Greg Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will be Wednesday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel from 2pm until 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm. Memorials will be directed by the family.
