Died Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at her home.

Cheryl was born May 17, 1954 in Manhattan, Kansas to Phillip and Marjorie 'Morris' Eckhart. She was raised in Hooper, Nebraska where she attended school. Cheryl was married to Stan Hart with whom she had 2 children Dana and Shawn. She then married Ronald Porter in 1983 with whom she had 2 daughters Katy and Jessy. The family lived in several communities before settling in Scribner. Cheryl was a homemaker and midwife. She was diagnosed with cancer in July of 2014.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dana and brother Chris

The memorial service will be 10am Saturday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. There is no viewing.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
