Orville was born September 26, 1932 to Earl and Luella 'Boell' Dahl. He graduated from West Point Public High School in 1950. He worked in West Point for his father before entering the Air Force in 1952. He married Rebecca Lockard on June 5, 1954. From this union three children were born Jon, Tim and Jane. Orville worked for Patterson Dairy in West Point before spending most of his career working in the feed service industry as a feed salesman. Orville was a volunteer fireman for many years and also was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He served many years working at the Dodge County Fair grounds. Orville was caretaker at Fairacres Court apartments in Scribner and a driver for the Scribner Good Samaritan Center.
Orville enjoyed playing sports including basketball and baseball, coaching youth baseball, fishing and was a big Husker Fan.
Orville was a member of United Lutheran Church in Scribner.

Orville was preceded in death by a sister Ardell Poppe, brother Ken Dahl and infant grandson Jesse Dean Dahl.
The memorial service will be 10am Friday at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation with the family present will be Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel.

Conroe, TX Wednesday, June 7, 2017 Orville and Becky were my neighbors across the street growing up. Jon & I played basketball in their backyard even through the winter months.Their generation is passing fast. I will miss Orville and his sense of humor. His Pickup truck sitting out side!!
