Died Sunday July 2, 2017 at Premier Estates in West Point after a long illness.
Ronnie was born July 8th, 1937 in Lyons, Nebraska to Louis and Edith 'Johnson' Poeschl. He grew up on the family farm outside of Lyons. He attended school in Lyons. After high school he worked the farm with his dad. On August 14th, 1960 he married the love of his life, Verion Greenfield in Lyons. In 1964 the family moved to Wahoo where he worked for his brother, Adrian. In the following years they moved to Fremont where he worked other jobs until becoming employed with the Fremont Street Department. He retired on July 31st, 1999 and eventually moved to West Point.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, card games, wood working and travel. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fremont.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Melanie, parents, brothers Dennis (Marcie), Adrian (Gloria) and Ivan Poeschl. He was also preceded by sisters Lavah (Ward) Petersen, Vernell Poeschl and LaVonnie (Bob) Kinney. His in-laws Forrest and Ruth Greenfield and brother-in-law Clarence Greenfield also preceded him in death.
The memorial service will be 1pm Monday July 24 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Les Parmenter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 11am until the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. The family requests casual attire.
