Edward J. 'Art' Hughes age 95, of Hooper
Died Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha

Edward was born July 1, 1922 in Omaha to Arthur and Viola 'Fletcher' Hughes. He was raised in Omaha and attended Omaha Tech High School. After his schooling Edward began a long career in the HVAC industry. Edward married Della Gardner at Kountz Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha on November 13, 1948. They enjoyed square dancing with the 'Belles and Beaus' square dancing club and going to Nebraska Cornhusker away football games. After their marriage they lived in Omaha and Colorado before move to Hooper in March of this year to be close to family.

Great Grandchildren Hunter, Luke, Levi, Wave, Island
Brother Gene Hughes of Omaha
Brother-in-law Tom Gardner of Omaha

Edward was preceded in death by a sister.

The celebration of Edward's life will be Tuesday at 2pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. The Rev. Joel Schroeder will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Dodge County Humane Society or Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha.

Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel is in charge arrangements.
