Anna was born August 1, 1933 in Fremont to Lenard and Ruth (Hughes) Haines. She grew up in Fremont and attended the Fremont schools.
On December 26, 1951, Anna was married to James C. Cassell in Fremont at the First Christian Church. Anna moved frequently as she followed her husband and his military career in the U.S. Navy. She volunteered with the American Red Cross on the various bases where her husband was stationed. She received a 30 year service pin from the Red Cross.
Anna was a member of the Rebekahs where she was a Past Assembly President of Nebraska, Grand Matriarch of the Ladies Encampment, Past Lady President of the Patriarch Militants, and Past International President of the Patriarchs Militant.

Anna was preceded by her husband James in March of 2009, a step-great grandson, and 2 brothers.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (Febr. 26th) at St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church, south of Scribner (1140 County Road 'K'). Visitation is on Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from 3 to 5 PM. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution.

Austin, TX Sunday, February 25, 2018 Anna will be remembered as a beautiful and sweet lady. Meeting her on her visit to California a few years ago was special. Wonderful memories with a lovely lady. Our love and thoughts are with each of you.
