Died Sunday March 4, 2018 in the Hooper Care Center
Ken was born February 15, 1928 to Carl and Amy 'Gladys' (Neal) Kinlund. He was raised on a farm near Rosalie, Nebraska. He graduated in 1945 from Rosalie High School then farmed north of Oakland. On October 19, 1947 he married Joyce Claussen. Ken continued to farm in the Rosalie/Oakland area while at the same time he started working at Hormel in Fremont. The couple moved to Hooper while Ken continued working at Hormel, retiring in 1987. The couple then moved to Fremont in 2006. After Joyce died, Ken moved back to Hooper and was a resident of the Parkview Apartments until moving into the Hooper Care Center.
Ken was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Hooper Volunteer Fire Department and was a charter member of the Husker Power Club at the University of Nebraska.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Joyce in 2011, parents and 2 brothers.
The funeral will be 10:30am Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. Burial will be at 1:30pm in the Bancroft Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Hooper Care Center or Teammates.
