She was born August 20, 1914 in Fremont to Claude and Anna (Haman) Douglas. She graduataed from Fremont High School, and taught school in Saunders County, Creston, NE, and in Fremont from 1932 to 1944.

She was married to Lawrence C. Julian in 1941. Later, in 1958, she graduated from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. She then taught at Northside Elementary School in Fremont from 1958 to 1960, and the 4th grade in Aurora, Colorado from 1960 to 1988, when she and her husband moved back to Fremont.

Lois Anne was a member of First Lutheran Church and Chapter HK of the PEO.

Preceding her in death was her husband Lawrence in 1990, and her son Nicholas in 2009.

Surviving are: daughter - Annette and husband Darrell Welander of Fremont
daughter-in-law - Dorothy Julian of Chicago, Ill.
2 grandchildren - Grant Welander of Omaha
Anna and husband Jeremy Farnsworth of Omaha
3 nieces - Cindy Martin of Holly Springs, NC
Claudia Kilmer of Manassas, VA
Jennifer Mizelle of Holly Springs, NC
brother-in-law - Charles Martin of Holly Springs, NC

There will be a private family service at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the committal in Ridge Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

    Annette, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a great lady! I enjoyed her very much when I worked at Nye a few years ago. She was one of my favorites!! I remember we would watch different sporting events on tv, especially the Cubs ! She will be missed.

    I became acquainted with your mother when I married Richard. We visited several times and I received a book about the Julian family from her. Later, I added more to the book and gave it to her. I enjoyed Lois very much. We became friends and I am sorry to hear of her passing.
