Died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Omaha
Curtis Keith Fleeman was born April 30, 1946 in Lubbock, TX. He attended grade school in Clarks and attended High School at Kearny and joined the Marine Corps in November of 1965. He served two tours in Vietnam where he reached the rank of Sergeant. He received 2 purple hearts during his service, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, and Rifle Marksmanship Badge.
Upon returning from Vietnam he worked in Clarks at the Pollard Gas Station. He moved to Fremont and worked for Hipke Cleaner in Fremont and then Hormel for 37 years. He was an avid race car driver and could be found in the garage working on cars. He raced a '68 Camaro and '74 Vega in both NHRA and IHRA. He was a classic car lover and built a 1940 Ford.
He married his wife, Sue L. Norden, on November 8, 1975. Curt is survived by his wife, Sue; daughters Michele (Doug) Forbes and grandchildren Jake & Emma, and Darcy Fleeman. His mother-in-law, Doris Steffen; brothers, Tom (Sharon), Chuck (Cheryl), Ken (Rosie); sisters Jeanice (Darrell) Steinke, Linda (Kirt) Augustin, Joannie Schwensen, Kathy Kobza; sister-in-laws, Dianne (Steve) Behrens, Lynn Frye; brother-in-law, Nick (Mary) Steffen and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Bell & Evelyn Fleeman; father-in-law Charles Steffen, sister, Lorrie Harvey and brother-in-laws, Dana Augustine & Rick Frye.
Curt's love of his family, friends and dog, Sammy, were apparent to all that knew him.
Graveside services will be 11am, Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Parkinson Foundation or VA Hospital in Omaha.
Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.

Franklin, ME Friday, May 21, 2021 Hi Sue Just by chance I checked on the newspaper and seen this saddening news, You were great neighbors and Ill never forget Curt for the help he had given me with my airboat. I study with Jehovah Witnesses now and one of the things we believe is that of the resurrection's of the righteous and unrighteous, So Curt will be resurrected at the end of this system. you can send email to my account put old neighbors in the subject.
