Died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Nye Legacy
Rodney was born June 6, 1935 in Valley, Nebraska to Frederick and Hazel Barnhill. He graduated from Valley High School in 1952. After high school Rodney served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956. He then attended and graduated from Nettleton Business College. His working years were spent in the trucking industry mostly as a claims adjuster.
Rodney married Maxine Krafka and they spent all of their 60 married years in Fremont. Rodney enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. As a young man he was very passionate about bowling. He loved Husker football and was a long time season ticket holder. He enjoyed working in the yard and on their farm. He also enjoyed taking care of his rental properties. Rodney had been a member of the Elks Club and was a current member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church.

Son Robert Krafka of Fremont
Grandchildren Rodney Krafka, Darren (Chelsea) Krafka and Gregory (Chanel) Krafka
5 great grandchildren
Brother Frederick (Clarice) Barnhill of Elkhorn
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Barnhill and 2 sisters, Cherrie Courtney and Betty Carlson.
The funeral will be 10:30am Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Fremont Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to the church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

Arlington, NE Monday, February 1, 2021 Fred - you probably don't remember me, but I worked at Mutual of Omaha back in the late 70's. I remember doing some typing for you on big sheets of paper - and it was all numbers. Oh the memories. So sorry to hear about the loss of your brother - these are certainly crazy times.
