Gladys was born August 8, 1933 in Howells, Nebraska to Joseph and Bessie 'Spulak' Honcik. She was raised in Howells and graduated from Howells High School in 1951. She moved to Fremont after high school and worked for Gambles, Tempo and A & A Drug Store retiring after 23 years.
Gladys married Robert Kort on December 18, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont where they made their home.
Gladys was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson Alex, brothers Ed, Joe and Bob Honcik, sisters Arlene Kessler and Marcella Greunke.
The funeral will be 10:30am, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Dan Heuer will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Visitation will be Thursday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel from 4pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 8pm. Masks are required at both the visitation and funeral.

Some of my favorite memories were my trips from Minnesota to Nebraska. We always spent a couple of weeks in the summer with Uncle Bob and Aunt Gladys and my awesome cousins.
