Lake ELSINORE,, CA Saturday, June 11, 2022 Gary was a wonderful and caring man. We lived behind Gary in South Omaha, he was always making sure me and my son Andre were ok and he would watch our house as he knew it was just us there. He would cut my lawn and teach us how to grow tomatoes (his secret was he threw a book of matches in the ground as he planted them and he taught us that the dirt needed the sulphur. Well we had beautiful red tomatoes that summer. He even bought us some tomato cages. He was the true definition of a great neighbor! Always had cute jokes and a smile. His kids would always tag along with Dad and see if they could do nice things too! The kids weren’t kidding when they spoke of the things they learned from their DAD! R.I. P. Gary and thank you for the care you showed us!Shindel Thomsen

Omaha, NE Friday, May 27, 2022 I met Gary when he applied for a job. Then he told me he was`nt leaving untill he got the job. lol. we have been friends ever since that day. Gary and Fawn never had much back then. But the love they had for each other and their children was unstoppable. I can see that he was a wonderful Dad from how his children spoke about him at the cemetery. He told along time ago that someday he wanted to fix up bikes and give them to kids that didn`t have one. Such a unselfish loving giving and humble man. He never judged anyone .My condolences to his family for such a great loss. P.S. I hope there is beer in heaven.Janalynn Martens
Grand Ledge, MI Tuesday, May 24, 2022 We've been friends since we were 5 or 6. I have wonderful memories of our friendship when we were kids . . . the games we played like hide-and-go-seek and statue, the summer I spent staying with your family on the farm on Willow Highway near Grand Ledge when my grandmother was in the hospital, collecting eggs from the hen house, making tunnels in the hayloft, swinging on the rope off the barn beam, eating roast beef sandwiches with ketchup at the farm, riding a neighbor's ponies after your family moved to Needmore, partying with the gang when we were teenagers, the fun times and the sad times, being there when I needed a friend, and staying friends though separated by the miles. You're like a brother to me and I'm missing you.
