Darrin was born and raised in Fremont by his parents Don and Irene (Spies) Grewek, with his sisters Deb (Mike) Hurst of Blair and Brenda (Jorge) Silva of Fremont. He went to Clarmar Elementary and was a 1988 Fremont High School graduate, where he made lifelong friendships. He went on to get an Associates degree in Automotive Technology from Milford Southeast Community College. He enjoyed being a stay-at-home Dad from 2003-2012, and then became the Director of Operations for Jetter's Plumbing working alongside his father-in-law and fellow co-workers until his passing.

Darrin enjoyed being home with his family, relaxing in the pool, hanging out in the backyard grilling food he loved, going back for seconds, taking naps in his recliner, taking annual guy trips, clowning around with friends and family, camping in the great outdoors, and having morning coffee with Stacy.

He is survived by his wife and three sons. His parents and two sisters. Stacey and Boys and all families,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Darrin was such a kind and friendly person. Growing up and knowing him through my younger brother, Darrin made you pay attention when he spoke. He always had a kindness towards everyone.

I'm so crushed in knowing the loss of Darrin. He was a very sweet, kind soul. Before I moved to Minnesota, Darrin would do oil changes and detail my car. I'm very lucky in knowing Darrin. Tiger Den 88 has one less. There be 17 candles this year. One for Darrin plus 16.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.

Brenda Brimmerman FHS class of 1988.

I know I may have not been to your house a lot, got to know him a lot, but from where I stand as Aden’s friend and someone who he made feel like home was home even if it wasn’t where I lived, he made everyone that came over feel like everything he owned, they owned. He helped me and Aden with so many things throughout the times I have hung out with Aden. One thing I will say is he will be missed but he is still here in everyone’s hearts and that he was a great cook, a great father. a great husband. a smart man, and most of all, an amazing human being.

So sorry to hear this news. Darrin had a great sense of humor and was a very intelligent guy. He was part of the KFC, high school job crew, back in the day. Too soon!!! Prayers to the family.

    Stacey,

I'm so profoundly sorry for your loss. I remember so well being at your wedding. It was an unexpected invite, amidst a cross country trip. In typical Timperley fashion, I was swept up by the family and able to celebrate your special day with Darrin. It seems like just a short while ago. May the memories be a blessing to you and the boys daily. Much Love, Heather
