Ralph R. Henery, 73, of Colon, Ne. passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 17th 2011 surrounded by his wife and children at Ashland Care Center in Ashland, Ne.
He was born to Robert and Violet Henery on April 24th, 1938 in Neligh, Ne. He grew up in Neligh and graduated from Neligh High School in 1955. He married Jeannine Thacker on May 1st, 1970. Ralph farmed for many years and owned Ralph Henery Grading Company in Omaha, Ne. which he operated until his retirement. He loved gardening, reading, camping, and spending time with his family.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 41 years: Jeannine (Thacker) Henery, Sons: Morris Lynn, Fremont and Raymond, Florida; Daughters: Joni Wilson of Lincoln and Melissa Boroff of Beatrice; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; Brothers: Richard (and wife Sandy) Henery, Missouri and Harold Henery, Neligh, Ne; Brother and Sister-in-law: James and Joan O'Connor; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy; grandson, Damon Wilson; brother, Carl Henery; Sister Helen Henery; and both parents.

The funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Friday May 20 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Tom Shaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Visitation at Ludvigsen Mortuary will be Thursday 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm.

    our thoughts and prayers are with you, i remember going over to ralph and jeans when i was kid, it was like a hundred and something "L" street ( i think ) and it was like the you were out in the country, long time ago, i remember ralph and my dad hanging out at the avark inn in irvington playing pool, he was a great uncle.
