On July 16, 1948, Elaine was married to Robert R. 'Bob' Ruhr, Sr., in Fremont where they made their home. She assisted her husband in his construction business.
Elaine was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She had been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and several polka dance clubs - Polka of A, Ludington Polka Swingers, and the Polka Lovers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Sr. in December of 2007, and by 2 sisters.

Betty and husband John Neil of Omaha
Janet and husband David Kendrick of Colorado Springs
1 son - Robert Ruhr Jr. of El Centro, Calif.

The funeral service will be 10 AM Friday (May 13, 2011) at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel on Thursday (May 12th) from 2 PM until 7 PM, with a Vigil Service at 7.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
