Jimmie Lee Robinson, age 88, of Fremont
Died, Saturday, November 4, 2023 at home.

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, my grandfather exited his body and went to his forever home. Jimmie Lee Robinson was born in Madisonville, Texas on October 22, 1935. Jimmie Lee went home after 88 years of life. He lived a misunderstood life for most of his adulthood. He grew up in rural Texas whose father chose picking cotton over education. Jimmie ran away in his early teens and spoke highly of the family that took him in (Betty & George) On October 4, 1961, Jimmie Lee married Adaphine Ann Clapper. Jimmie Lee learned how to navigate the world with the help of Adaphine as he became a truck driver. She would record the names of the towns that he needed to stop at but then she would give him step-by-step directions. Basically, homemade GPS. Jimmie Lee rarely shared his reading deficit because he was a proud man doing the best, he could with what he had. He was loved. Jimmie Lee will be missed. He leaves his wife behind, and many family members.

There will be no services at this time.

Jimmie will be missed. I met him and his wife about 36 years ago when I worked at McDonald's in Fremont. He was a character, he always made me laugh. If I was having a bad day they would both listen to me and by the end of it they had me laughing. I would run into them periodically after I left McDonald's and he always remembered me. I am heartbroken to hear this news as I think of both of them often always wondering how they were doing. He will always hold fond memories in my heart. My sincerest condolences to Adaphine and the family.
