Patricia R. Sullivan (Svendgard)
July 17, 1963 - August 5, 2024

Patricia (Patti) Svendgard Sullivan, 61 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 after a courageously fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She died at home surrounded by her family.

Patti was born July 17, 1963 in Fremont to Andrew Svendgard Jr and Frances (Fran) Newkirk. She grew up in Arlington, attending Arlington Public School graduating in 1981. After graduation she took a job at Allied Van Lines in Omaha. When Allied moved their corporate office in December of 1988 to Chicago, Patti transferred and was a dispatcher for over 15 drivers nationwide.

Patti and her kids enjoyed their time in Chicago watching Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls glory days and Chicago White Sox baseball. The family moved back to Arlington in 1993 where Patti was able to be a ''stay at home mom''. When her youngest went to school in August of 1999 Patti went to work Arlington Public School as a ''lunch lady''. In 2011 she hung up her apron and took a position at Payflex in Omaha where she was employed until her illness made it impossible to continue working.

Being an avid sports fan of all things Husker, she could be found watching or attending football, baseball or volleyball games. Her enjoyment of sports had led her to visit 12 major league stadiums and attend many college world series games.

Her love for her kids and grandkids was evident in all she did and she was always ready to be part of their activities. Patti loved to travel with destinations including many Caribbean cruises, Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii and Ireland where she kissed the ''Blarney Stone''. In May she was able to travel with her family to California and enjoyed sharing Disneyland with her grandkids. She was happiest on a beach in the sunshine surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her great love of her family, her fur babies and grand fur babies and her quirky sense of humor,

Patti was preceded in death by father Andrew Svendgard Jr, step father Darrell Miller, brothers Doug Svendgard and Jim Miller and her grandparents.

She is survived by her children Jason (Jennifer) Vieux of Fremont, Allen (Victoria) Sullivan of Escondido, CA,, Marissa (Ray Foster) Vieux and Kayla Sullivan of Fremont, mother Fran Miller of Arlington, step mom Carol Svendgard of Fremont, sisters Tami(Brian) Johnson and Mindy (Ben) Misfeldt of Arlington, sister in law Shelly Miller of Kennard, brother Michael (Cathy) Miller of Oakland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Peighton and Presley Vieux , MacKenzie Sullivan and Baby Boy Sullivan set to arrive in January of 2025, along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorials to be directed to the family for further designation to Pancreatic Cancer Research.

The memorial service will be 10:30am, Monday August 12, 2024 at Fremont Alliance Church. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. There is no viewing but the family will receive friends at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm.
