Ruth Darlene Wolf Bartling, 90, of Fremont
passed away on September 25, 2024 at Nye Courte in Fremont.

Ruth was born January 28, 1934 to George and Leola 'Moeller' Wolf at home in Rural Dodge County east of Winslow, near the Clark Creek. Ruth was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Hooper, and attended school at the one room Wolf School House, then later Immanuel Lutheran. She graduated from Hooper High School in 1951. After graduation she worked at the Dodge County Courthouse until her marriage to Kenneth Bartling on July 27, 1952. They lived in Rhode Island while Kenneth served in the United States Navy. They moved back to Nebraska in 1954 where they operated a dairy farm and raised their five daughters.

At a young age it was apparent that Ruth loved music and learned to play the accordion and piano. She also had many fond childhood memories of growing up along the Clark Creek. After her marriage Ruth enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and helping out wherever needed on the farm. She cherished her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In Ruth and Ken's retirement years they enjoyed traveling, with some of the years spent doing short term mission projects. She always shared her faith in the Lord and would add ''God Is Good All The Time'' to most conversations. They resided in Brownsville, TX, and returned to Fremont in the spring of 2006. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church, where Ruth was active in her Circle and quilting groups.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years Kenneth; son-in-law Rich Hall; daughters Georgine (Bruce) Bellamy; Gina (Noel) Peters; Grace (Dave) Black; Gay (Glenn) Blomendahl. Sixteen grandchildren, Kendra Hall, Kelly (Cody) Hansen, Kacie Hall, Jeff (Stephanie) Bellamy, Mindy (Matt) Darling, Bradley Bellamy, Katie (Gary) Settje, Paul (Laura) Peters, Rebecca (Joel) Brabec, Maria (Alex) Wynn, Carolyn (Reggie) Rector, Danny (Jennifer) Black, Cole (Candace) Blomendahl, Shane (Kara) Blomendahl, Luke (Amy) Blomendahl, Noah Blomendahl, and 29 great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice Maurer, and daughter Gwen Ruth Bartling Hall.

The funeral will be 10:30am, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Lunch will follow the service. Burial will follow the lunch at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Winslow. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Memorials are suggested to Nebraska Right to Life or Life Choices of Fremont.
