Elizabeth was born July 24, 1957 in Omaha to Charles W.'Bill' and Doris (Vogt) Rydstrom. She grew up in Omaha and married Gregg Petersen on June 17th, 1978. She enjoyed a variety of positions throughout her career in the banking industry and later owned and operated a successful family business. She finished her career as Office Manager at Burkley Envelope. Elizabeth remained active in her church altar guild and choir.

She is survived by husband Gregg of Yutan, son Cole, parents Bill and Doris Rydstrom, brother Charles Rydstrom all of Omaha, mother-in-law Lotus Petersen of Fremont, sister-in-law Debra Podany of Wisner, nieces Kim Bachman and husband Matt and their daughter Reese of Norfolk, Lacey Harris and husband Chris and their daughter Addison of Omaha, nephew Chad Podany and his son Cade of Pilger.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday (March 16th) at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yutan with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. The committal will be in Pleasant View Cemetery near Leshara with luncheon to follow at the church. Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church and American Cancer Society.

Visitation will also be at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yutan on Tuesday (March 15th) from 3 to 8 PM. Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, is handling the arrangements.
