On October 21, 1929, Wanda was married to Gerald H. Betkie in Sioux City, Iowa and they came to Fremont in 1930. During the years her children were growing up, she was active in the PTA, and was an 'Honorary Life Member of the Nebraska Congress of Parents and Teachers. After her children were grown, she worked for Kollmeyer's in downtown Fremont for 22 years.
Wanda was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

North Bend, NE Monday, March 7, 2011 I remember Wanda when I was younger and she worked at Kollmeyer's with my Great Aunt Onalee Wolfe and then I would also see her when I was working at Miller Pharmacy for 24 years. I delivered her medicine. She was such a neat ,kind person and we would talk about my Aunt and working at the store.My family thought a lot of her. I did send on her obituary to my folks.
