Donna was born September 19, 1926 in Neligh, Nebraska to Guy Richard and Effie (Rings) McCloud of Elgin, NE. She had one sister, Wanda McCloud also of Elgin.

Donna was a graduate of Elgin High School. Following her graduation she taught country school near Elgin for two years.

Donna continued her education at Norfolk Community College. She met and married Joseph H. Toelle, Jr. there on May 21, 1950. They were married 55 years.

Donna worked as a home-maker, raising her three children in Fremont, NE. During this time she was a member of PTA, the YMCA, and Gals & Pals Extension Club. She was also a member of Arbor Vitae Chapter 92 Order of Eastern Star.

Following the death of her husband, Donna relocated to Golden, CO where she lived until her death.

Survivors include one daughter, Karin Montague and her husband Pat Moore, of Indian Hills, CO; two sons and their wives, Steve and Gloria Toelle of North Platte; and, Rick and Jennifer Toelle of Omaha; one sister-in-law and her husband, Beverly and Delmar Eggers of Ewing; one niece, Patty Graber of Ewing; three grandsons, Joseph Toelle of Lincoln; and Sam and Nick Toelle both of Omaha, NE; and two step-granddaughters, Chero Everson of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Savannah White of Kearney, NE; four great grandchildren, Gracie, Ellie, Gabriel and Hayleigh Toelle of Lincoln, NE; and four step great grand-children, Jordan and Jason White of Kearney, NE, Zoe Whelan of Missouri; and, Jacob Everson of Omaha, NE.

The funeral will be Friday, March 11th, 11:00 am, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Visitation is Thursday, March 10th from 2pm until 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery, Fremont.

A memorial luncheon for Donna's friends, neighbors and family will be held at The Gathering beginning at 1:00 pm, March 11th, 750 N. Clarmar Avenue, Fremont, NE. Please RSVP before Tuesday, March 8th, at this telephone number: 402-861-0184.
