Mr. Hansen was the principal at Scribner High School when the Class of 1949 graduated. We have many fond memories of those days. His wife worked at the Lamberty Variety Store. The Hansens attended many of our class reunions. They were such good people and good friends to us. They had sent in their reservation to attend our last reunion in 2009, but he got sick and they could not come. We, the SHS Class of 1949, send our condolences to his family. He will be remembered....

Paul & all of the family, Our thoughts are with you today as you lay to rest your father and a fine man who kept in touch with his students throughout the years. He was principal at Scribner when I was in high school. There was none finer and he taught me to like history! He had that way of teaching that showed how the present related to the past and we took it up from there. May I take this means of paying high respect to him. May you find comfort in the thoughts that are with you and may God's peace abide with you, Ione Popken

Paul, We first became acquainted with your father at Service Unit 2 when he became the director there. We operated the cleaning service for the Unit. He was a wonderful person to visit with and to work for. Our connection lasted for 8 years until we sold the business. We are sorry to hear of the passing of a great educater and friend.

Paul, I worked for several years at ESU 2 under your father's leadership. He always lent the support I needed for various events and projects we had undertaken. Quite a dedicated educator! You and your family are in my prayers. Frieda Dietrich, Singapore American School
