Delores was born on April 8, 1931 in Winnebago, Nebraska to Roy and Grace Montanye. She was 1 of 10 children (3 girls and 7 boys). Her family then moved to Fremont where Delores attended and graduated from high school in 1949. She worked at Hormel's after graduation and then met and married husband Robert Lee Wiedrick in 1953. They then moved to California where they raised their 4 children - Cheryl, Guy, Eddie, and Lori. Delores returned to Fremont in 1974, where she worked at Al's Cafe for 20 years. The Kubin Family, who owned Al's Cafe, she loved dearly, and they were like family to her as well as all of her wonderful co-workers. This is where she met George McMahon, who she later married and had 6 wonderful years together before his passing.
Survivors include: daughter Cheryl Lyon and husband Jerry of Hesperia, CA, son Eddie Wiedrick and wife Shelly of Salem, Oregon, daughter Lori Maurer and husband Dwight of Fremont, Nebraska, brother Corbin Montanye and wife Lenora of Harford, Conn., and special friend Coletta Trotter. Delores was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who were the light of her life and who brought her so much joy and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 sisters, 6 brothers, her son and 1 granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday (Jan. 11th) at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church (16th & Luther Rd.) in Fremont with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating.

Converse, TX Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Delores was a wonderful lady. We were co-workers at Al's Cafe many years ago. She was humorus and delightful. I haven't forgotten her after all these years. (almost 20 yrs). Her and the Al's Cafe co-workers were like family...fond memories of working there and her. I wish her family and friends my condolences. Thank you Delores for the memories and great conversation.JoAnn Humbert-Boggs
Lillington, NC Tuesday, January 11, 2011 I will really miss this sweet lady who was like a second mom to me. We shared the same birth date, just 26 years apart. We worked together at Al's when I lived in Fremont years ago and used to go out together with Mardell (another April 8 birthday lady) on our birthday every year for a drink and some fun. Delores will always be with me, as she has been for these many years no matter where I've roamed.Kathy Ranslem

Fremont, NE Monday, January 10, 2011 Lori I feel for your loss and share in sadness of her passing. I knew her for years from her job at Al's and was totally surprised when she married George McMahon. It said they were married six years, but it seemed a lot longer. She helped me out when I needed someone to take care of Monica while I worked and she was always friendly and thoughtful. The world will miss her. Bill
