Send Flowers Send Flowers
Clinton was born on January 28, 1920 to Bernard and Bertha 'Havekost' Von Seggern at Scribner. He attended rural school and graduated from Scribner High School in 1937. Upon returning from the service in the Army Air Corps in England, he started farming in the Scribner area. He was united in marriage to Mildred Bachman on August 1, 1948 in Creston, Nebraska.

He was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Cuming County Line, participating fully in the life of the congregation. These activities led to leadership roles on Nebraska Synod committees. Membership on school and local co-op boards provided opportunities for lasting friendships and neighborliness.

In 2004 Clinton received the Theo Roosevelt Conservation Award which culminated 50 years of soil and water conservation activities on the county and state levels.
