Vicki was born May 31, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska to Leonard and Barbara 'Vi' (Geschke) Haecke. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from Platteview High School in 1971. After high school she worked at Kmart, cleaned houses and worked at various other jobs. Vicki then moved to Fremont and began working at Magnus Metal while attending Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University). After her schooling she then went to work for the ESU in Fremont, working until 2 years ago when she retired due to her health.

Vicki was a member of the Fremont Optimist Club and former Nebraska Optimist Lt. Governor, TOPS #58, Fremont Church of the Nazarene and YMCA. She was also very involved in the Relay for Life for the last several years.

Daughter - Alyssa Nelson of Fremont
Grandson - Mason Waegli
Twins (Boy and Girl) on the way
Mother - Vi Haecke of Fremont
Sister - Cheryl Haecke of Cheyenne, WY.
Brother - Kirk and wife Rose Haecke of Fremont
Significant Other - Stan Carmen of Omaha

Vicki was preceded in death by her father Leonard.

The memorial service will be 11am Friday September 21 at the Fremont Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Tom Shaw will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation with family will be Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
