Marjorie M. Christensen

Send Flowers Send Flowers
She was born on November 20, 1923 in rural Boelus, Nebraska to Frank and Ethel (Jacobsen) Frandsen. Growing up there, she graduated from high school in Dannebrog, Nebraska in 1941. She also graduated from St. Paul Business College in St. Paul, Nebraska. Marge worked as a stenographer in the Howard County courthouse.

On March 28, 1946, she was married to Max Christensen in Dannebrog, and they have celebrated their 64th anniversary. They lived on a farm west of Dannebrog where Marge worked alongside her husband, doing all those chores most farm wives find themselves doing. Marge and Max moved to Fremont in 1991.

When living near Dannebrog, she was active in St. Peders Lutheran Church near Nysted, Nebraska. In Fremont she has been active in First Lutheran Church. Whatever Marge did, it had to be done right. She was an excellent seamstress, she was particular about the things she baked, and she was an avid card player.

  7. Laura Beth McDermott (Espersen)
So many fond memories of growing up in Nysted! Max and Marge were such a big part of the community and friends of our family. I remember making visits to their house and seeing them every Sunday at church services. We continiued to be friends even as the years went by and we all went our seperate ways. Marge and my mother kept in contact by phone and when my sister was ill for so long, Marge would call showing her concern and letting me know she was praying for us. That meant so much to me. She will be missed by all because of the sweet and caring person that she was. Wonderful memories are something we will cherish forever! Laura Beth
