Ed was born December 25, 1950 in Oakland to Hugh and Lora 'Perry' Johnson. He grew up in Scribner and was a Boy Scout. He graduated from Scribner High School then went into the Army and was a cook.

Ed married Teresa Mann in 1979 and to that union they welcomed five children.

Wife - Teresa of Scribner
Sons - Ed Johnson Jr. of Scribner
Daniel and wife Jamie Johnson of Oakland
Daughters - Elaine Hass of Scribner
Sarah Knutsen of Scribner
Mother - Lora Johnson of Lincoln
5 grandchildren - Megan Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Lillian Hass, Gabriel Stillman and Josiah Johnson
Sister - Christy and husband Larry Hansen of Iowa
Julia Noyes of Lincoln
Brother - Hugh Johnson Jr. of California

Ed was preceded in death by his father and brother Chris in 1993.

There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in the Scribner Cemetery.

Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
