To Rogers family, I am very sorry for your loss. I served on the USS New Jersey BB62 during the same time as Roger. I was in 1st Div. which was right next to 6th div. I only knew Roger because our divisions were so close to one in other and from what I can remember Roger was dedicated Boatswain's Mate. A very good friend of Roger's by the name of Robb Sawin had informed me of his passing. Roger RIP

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Lebahn family during this most difficult time. Roger was one of my supervisors during my time on board the Battleship New Jersey from 1987 to 1989. He was proud of his work in the Navy and took many junior sailors under his wing which only made them better shipmates in the end! Roger was a hard worker, a loving father and a tremendous friend I will greatly miss. Roger will always be a "SHIPMATE!" Rest in loving peace and may the Lord give your family the peace and strength they need at this time. God rest your soul Roger! -Robb-

I am so saddened to learn of Roger's passing. I have some fond memories of him as a shipmate onboard USS New Jersey. Roger was a good man who was willing to help the young sailors in his charge stay safe and on the right path. My and my family's sympathies to all of Roger's family.

Roger and I served onboard The Battleship, and became good friends. We kept in touch through the years. Roger was a great Friend, Father, and superb Sailor. I am deeply saddened by his death. As I prepare to attend his funeral today, and after seeing Tess, Julia, Brandon, Mandy, and the Lebahn Family, I am reminded of how much of a great individual Roger was. Rest In Peace, Brother! Fair Winds and Following Seas!
