During most of his working years, Lorenz had a small farm east on the Scribner-Herman road. He also hired out to area farmers. And he had worked for Earl Fauss doing construction work.
Lorenz was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (north of Hooper). He enjoyed time on the Hooper golf course and fishing.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (Jan. 29th, 2009) in St. Paul's Lutheran Church (north of Hooper) with Vicar Judy Johnson officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorials are suggested to his church.

Hooper, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Bob and I remember well all the times at the Hooper Inn with Lorenz. We were just talking this morning about his standing "egg and toast" breakfast order and how we enjoyed visiting with him. Our prayers to his family.
