Clara was born December 15, 1914 near St. Edward, Nebraska to Henry and Johana (Schroeder) Meyer. She grew up there, helping on the farm, until she moved to Fremont to help a family with their children. Later she went to work at the Mead Ordnance Plant.

On October 28, 1941, Clara was married in Fremont to Quentin Bubbert. They moved to Van Nuys, Calif. where Clara lived while Quentin completed his US Army service. Following Quentin's military service, they returned to Fremont and had lived most of the time in Inglewood. Her husband was a long time Hormel employee, and the couple were active with Inglewood's community affairs.

Clara was a member of First Lutheran Church and she was an active volunteer with the Low Income Ministry.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin in June of 1999, son Melvin in Febr. of 2006, 2 brothers and a sister.

A Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday (Jan. 16th) in First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman Freund and Intern Pastor Nathan Clements officiating. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Low Income Ministry.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Thursday (Jan. 15th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family
receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 PM. Visitation will also be at the church Friday afternoon for an hour before the service.
