I'm thinking of your family at this sad time and wishing you all the best for the new year. I know that Bill is in a restful place, but I also know how hard it is to have a father, brother or friend pass away especially at this time of year, Best, Ann

Such great memories...He leaves a big hole that can't be filled w/ words....but what an athlete, what a sincere, fun person, what a big smile...We start shoveling some of these wonderful memories into this big hole and maybe, as we laugh and remember the good times, the loss won't hurt so much!!! My love and sympathy to the Becher Family

Bill's deep, wonderful laugh! That was Happiness! Then my memory goes to the baseball diamond in Hastings, sitting next to Aunt Roundy and cheering madly as Cousin Bill hit a "double bagger" for the team to win the game!!!! Golly, does it get any better than that?!??!! My love to ALL Bill's family and my hope that fun, sweet rememberances of his life fill your hearts!

I will always remember Bill as a kind, considerate man, who loved his family, and seemed to grow taller as he talked of his children! He always had a smile and a kind word even for a pesky little cousin! His pain is over, and he is in a far better place now with his beloved Bobette. He left his family with many fond memories and so much to be thankful for...memories that will make all of us smile when we remember the good times.

I first met 'Big Bill' when I was transferred to his engineering department at Western Electric. I was a little learing of Bill at first , but quickly learn what a good and fair person he was. He treated everyone with fairness and always with a touch of humor...he just a good individual with class... and will be missed.

Bill was an Engineer in Wage Incentives Dept. when we were first introduced. I also worked for him in Quality Assurance in the later years. He was a great boss, always understanding and fair with his employees. He had a great sence of humor and some of us women called him the "Gentle Bear". Roxie Riepl

Beach was a good customer and a lot of fun to have come to the shop. He would always have a dig for me and I in turn would try to get back at him with something. I always thought he liked it that way. Bill was a fun guy and I always enjoyed him as a customer..... He will be missed....KIEL...

We will miss you big brother. Many good memories of our times together will never go away. Thanks for pushing me to be the best I can be in athletics and life. You are a tough act to follow. You are now in a peaceful environment without the pain and illnesses you've been living with over the past several years. Our family bids you a loving farewell and you will always be remembered. Love you, Dick and Dody.

I will always remember the great times we had and all the wonderful memories of both growing up and the time he spent in Arizona! As kids we thought it was so cool that the Becher's had horses to ride and Uncle Bill let me ride Russ, his big horse and Russ did not like me so as we trotted he veered under the trees trying to knock me off but I stayed on (cousin Bob must have given me some advice) and when we came back Uncle Willy gave that horse a punch that he would not forget!! When he came down to Arizona we had so many great times playing golf and so many laughs! We played a game with Fairways, Putts and Greens and we called him Captain Fairway as he rarely missed one. We would then go back to his place and have a few Coors lights and play some cards and laugh at some of the golf shots of the day, especially the one where Uncle Dick had an approach shot into the sun over the water and I was with Willy way off the green at the back and we could not see anything and then we heard CRACK and he hit me in the head at the edge of my visor so it didn't hurt to bad. Uncle Bill said thanks for taking that hit as he was standing pretty close to me! I said any time for you Willy! We will miss him dearly!!!! and we started laughing so hard.
