She moved to nearby Enid, OK as a young woman and worked at various jobs, including Vance Air Force Base Officer's Club, managing the events of the officers and their wives in scheduled dinners, squadron graduations and all other social events. Her church life as a member of the First Baptist Church and sanctuary choir was always an important part of her life, and continued throughout her life. In 1958, she moved to Roswell, NM and worked in the fashion industry at the Barb-Anne Shoppe, managing sales and making buying decisions.
On December 27, 1971, she married Elmer Rix of Fremont. They lived on the farm until Elmer's death on December 17, 2007. She was also preceeded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and one grandson. Minnie is survived by her son, John (Marcheta) Woicikowfski of Lubbock, TX and their three children Elizabeth (Jacques) de La Giraudiere of Ft. Worth, TX, Ivanna (Jay) Flewharty, of Lubbock, TX and Jordan (Nicole) Woicikowfski of Houston, TX. Her daughter, Sally Bailey of Fremont and her two son's, Mike (Sandy) Behnke of Montgomery, TX and Wheat (Kristen) Bailey, III, of Lakeway, TX. Five great-grandchilden and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday at First Baptist Church, Fremont, with the Reverends Gundar Lamberts and Leland Foreman officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. At Minnie's request, friends are encouraged to send memorials to the First Baptist Church Music Program in Fremont, NE.

fremont, NE Wednesday, January 23, 2013 well, my little minnie, i am so saddened by your passing, but, you are now in a better place, and with elmer the love of your life. even though i only knew you for 2 months it seemed like a life time. i love and miss you but, at least you will be next to me on friday, i wish all your family especially your precious daughter sally, she is forever loved and will always be a part of my life. i wish i could have seen you before your passing but, godspeed and i will be there to see you on your final day friday.
