On March 17, 1929, Edna was married to Martin A. Nieman in Holyrood, Kansas. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm in the Fontanelle area north of Fremont. In 1954, they moved into Fremont where Martin worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker for Watson Industries and Edna was a home maker.
While living in the Fontanelle area, Martin and Edna were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. After moving into Fremont, they became members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Edna had also been active in an extension club.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Martin in February of 1993, and by 7 brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday (May 24, 2013) at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Heuer and Rev. Dr. David Coe. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Thursday from 2 to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
